      As OHTO Horizon series has received orders far above the supply volume, we have adjsuted the shipment qty as below.

Important Notice Regarding TRAVELER'S COMPANY Price Policy

Dear Customer,

I hope this email finds you well.

This email is to inform you about the opening of our eCommerce platform for TRAVELER’S COMPANY brand in the US. We will launch near the end of March / early April 2020.

Our vision for TRAVELER’S notebook is for it to become “the world’s most fun notebook”. To pursue this vision, we came to the conclusion that building a direct-to-user channel is a must. This direct channel will focus on brand engagement by allowing us to curate and display brand contents collected from users, retailers, and local collaborators.

We must admit however, the bottleneck to fulfill our vision is the unauthorized 3rd party sellers who sell our products on Amazon at a hefty discount. The more our brand becomes popular, the more of those sellers who take advantage of the situation. This problem has been on top of our priority list as it impacts our own authorized sales in the US. In order to minimize the parallel imports good from Japan, we have done everything we possibly could. We continue to send official letters to Japanese distributors and retailers to stop unauthorized third party sellers at Amazon since it will harm the brand value in the long run. We understand, though, that this approach will not solve the issue fundamentally as long as there is a huge gap between the US vs Japanese retail prices.

Theoretically there are 2 approaches we can take.
1. Increase the Japanese Retail Price.
2. Decrease the US Retail Price.
Historically, we have only considered the first approach and have implemented it several times. We would like to take the latter approach of decreasing the US retail price alongside with our launch of the TRAVELER’S COMPANY eCommerce website in the US.

For the TRAVELER’S notebook Regular Size and Passport Size, which are commonly targeted for the parallel import, we will set US MINIMUM ADVERTISED PRICE as follows.

Targeted Categories
Item# and UPC will stay the same.

We acknowledge that the ultimate pricing decision will be up to retailers, but we would like to ask for your cooperation to follow our MAP policy for the sake of future prosperity of TRAVELER’S COMPANY brand. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

The wholesale price change will be applied on March 1st onwards at JPT AMERICA website and the MAP policy will be enforced on March 26th onwards. If you wish to change the retail price and notify the price change to the customer, please release the notification anytime after March 12th, 12:00AM.
